Glenda Walters

Glenda studied at the University of Queensland, completing a Bachelor in Applied Science (Human Movement Studies) in 2003 and Master of Physiotherapy Studies in 2007.

Since graduating Glenda has worked in a variety of private practices across Queensland (from the city to rural areas). Her roles have had her working in rural and remote communities, major city practices, as well as travelling overseas with sporting teams.

Glenda was always interested in health and the body – she grew up participating in competitive gymnastics, which started her curiosity for knowledge regarding how the human body moves. Glenda is always striving to keep clients as active as possible while addressing their rehabilitation needs.

Glenda strives to keep up to date with the most recent knowledge regarding client care. She has completed additional courses for treating musculoskeletal issues of the lumbar spine, hip and pelvis, as well as courses relating to hydrotherapy, Clinical Pilates and Western Acupuncture and Dry needling. Glenda has attended specialised courses Explain Pain and Graded Motor Imagery – which focus on treatment of chronic pain, as well as further study in treatment and assessment of the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ).

When stepping into the role of Exercise physiologist Glenda has a particular interest in assisting Diabetics manage their condition with exercise.

When not working Glenda likes to keep active up in the air participating in pole and aerial classes, or spending some time with her dog Buddy
